Does an update count as an update if you're told you are at the same place you were a month ago? We're still at Step 7. The email we received today told us we will be at Step 8 in "a week or so", and it also warned us that the timeline for THAT step will likely take longer than normal because of the Tet holiday in Vietnam that apparently shuts down the government offices for almost the entire month. Our expectation of January travel got readjusted to February, then to March. Now I suppose March may be optimistic.
Very disheartened tonight.

I'm so sorry. This really is the toughest part of waiting.
Oh Shelley, I am so sorry. This is truly the most difficult part of this entire process. I know that it often seems hollow when people say that but it is the truth. You WILL have Sam in your arms soon. Once you get your Visa clearance it will all be a blur, and you'll go from waiting to travel to on the plane in a flash.
Hang in there Shelley. We'll get there soon. I'm right there with you...disheartened. :(
I hate to hear that. The Staff in Vietnam did this to us too. Praying they get off their butts and get you traveling soon!
Don't be disheartened. We were told the same thing about Tet. What actually happened was that it seemed sped up our process. Perhaps they wanted to push a lot of paperwork through before the holiday came. Whatever the case was, we traveled early March even with Tet. Keep your chin up!
